MARACUJA BERLINER WEISSE
Two years ago, we set up an intercontinental collab with our Polish brothers and sisters from Warsaw, Maryensztadt, in form of the Maracuja Sour. Because you liked it so much during the previous two summers, it wouldn’t be fair to discontinue making this refreshing Berliner Weisse. With pure fresh passionfruit juice from Ecuador, this brew will keep you going during the hot summer days but can also be your companion during a lazy Sunday brunch.
Alc. 4.0% Vol, IBU: 5, serving temperature: 4-7°C
For the summer days Dr. Brauwolf created a light and refreshing Summer Ale at 3.8%. It’s a wheat Pale Ale with a hint of aromatic hops and lemon grass that adds to the fruity-citrussy taste experience. It’s just like a shandy, but natural and without the added sugar. So put on your sunnies and down one or two!
Alc. 3.8% Vol
Bohemian Lager (Czech-style Pils) with Saaz aroma hop. Pils is a superb version of classic lager beers due to the extra hops, which makes this beer sharper with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Although unfiltered, our Pils is very clear in colour with a crisp taste, just like a Pils should be.
Alc. 5.2% Vol, IBU: 28, EBC: 5.6, serving temperature: 4-7°C
Belgian-style Witbier with coriander and orange peel. This is our lightest beer and the perfect thirst quencher on hot summer days or after exercise. The wheat content of this beer gives it a natural cloudiness, while the added orange peel adds some zest to this refreshing brew.
Alc. 4.6% Vol, IBU: 15, EBC 7.2, serving temperature: 4-7°C
American-style red or amber ale with extra hops and a scent of caramel. Our Red Ale is a well-balanced ale with a sweet taste from the caramalt that we use and a slightly fruity aftertaste from dry-hopping. The eye-catching copper colour and the smooth taste makes this beer a perfect choice for both light and dark beer drinkers.
Alc. 4.8% Vol, IBU: 20, EBC: 25, serving temperature: 8-12°C
AMERICAN PALE ALE
Our American Pale Ale is all about the hops. Three different strains of hops, one from Zurich and two Americans, were popped in this tasty brew. The light and pale malts and the limited amount of bittering hops make for very easy drinking, while the citrussy and fruity aromas of the hops will quickly make you fall in love with this beer.
Alc. 5.3% Vol, IBU: 30, EBC 13.3, serving temperature: 8-12°C
BLACK INDIA PALE ALE
Our black IPA stands out from its colour and the smooth, deep aromas, which are induced by the addition of roasted malt. At first, this BIPA reminds you of coffee and then in the aftertaste the bitter-fruity hops aromas hit your palate. This hybrid is a very mild version of a dark ale and an IPA and delivers the best of both beers to bring you a unique IPA experience.
Alc. 6.0% Vol, IBU: 40, EBC: 42, serving temperature: 12-14°C
H2OP (Hop water) is a dry-hopped sparkling water and is an alternative to the generally stale alcohol-free beers. This isn’t a beer, but an aromatic mineral water with a slight bitterness and the citrusy-floral aromas of hops. It is the perfect thirst quencher in summer and an ideal drink for the ones who love the taste and health benefits of hops, without the negative effects of alcohol.
Dr. Brauwolf was founded in Zurich Switzerland, August 2017, by pharmacist and virologist Dr. Stefan Wolf. Dr. Brauwolf is the first craft brewery to open in the city of Zurich and all the beers are handcrafted, brewed fresh without any additives or preservatives, and are unpasteurised according to the slogan “Fresh Local Craft Beer.” The range of products consists of five core beers plus a unique monthly special – the Craft Beer of the Month (CBM) for the craft beer lovers that like a more adventurous taste. The team works according to tight scientific guidelines, which ensures a high quality craft beer. We are innovating what’s possible with beer and we are always creating a fresh, unique taste for beer lovers. Every Thursday and Friday the brewery opens its doors to the public between 5pm and 8 pm, where customers can enjoy drinks in Dr. Brauwolf’s cosy taproom and also meet with some of the brewers. There are tastings and brewery tours available, where one can experience how, where, and by whom these craft beers are made.
Corporate events, birthday, or bucks party? No worries! The Dr. Brauwolf taproom offers space for up to 50 people and the taproom is an ideal place for a chill night amongst friends and colleagues.
